Volunteer this Summer!
Do you want to be a part of building the Kingdom with Camp Carl this summer, but can’t be on staff? Serving God’s children during summer camp is a rewarding way to do just that! We have volunteer positions available!
Volunteer Summer Positions
Spend a few hours Sunday afternoon/ evening when groups of new exited campers arrive! Volunteer to help during our busiest and most exciting time of the week! There are many fun opportunities during check-in. Here are just a few of the ways to help: greeter, golf cart drivers, luggage tagging/ delivery and check-in process.
DAY CAMP DRIVERS
One essential element we offer to make day camp more accessible to families is by offering morning and evening shuttles. Volunteer to drive vans full of excited day campers to and from camp! Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid drivers license. Monday through Thursday: shifts are 7am to 9am and 4:30pm to 7pm.
Do you love being on the water? Are you an experienced boat driver? Imagine the fun you would have taking groups of kids around West Branch State Park while pulling them in giant tubes behind on of our boats! Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid license. Shifts are 9am to 12:30pm or 2:30 to 6pm, Monday through Thursday.
If you are detail-oriented, organized and love talking with people, volunteering in our camp store might be a good fit for you! Volunteering time throughout the week, you could help with tasks from restocking merchandise to running the register. A typical shift would be 4 hours total. Sunday through Friday slots available.
Do you have a servant’s heart? Great! Come and help feed our hungry campers and staff! Do you have food service experience? If not, don’t worry our experienced kitchen staff will show you the ropes! We ask that kitchen volunteers work at least one meal per week: breakfast, lunch or dinner. Each shift is approximately 4 hours.
If you are detail-oriented and organized, volunteering with our administrative staff might be a good fit for you! Specific tasks include: sorting camper mail, delivering daily camper mail, sorting and labeling tribe shirts. This would be a one-day-a-week commitment. Shifts are 9am to 6pm, available Monday through Friday.
CLEANING & SANITIZING
Help us keep camp open, clean, and safe for campers and staff by volunteering on our sanitatizing team! If you looking for a position to just “help” where needed this is the right place for you! This summer cleaning and disinfecting will be a crucial part of how we operate. Shifts available between 10am and 3pm, Monday through Thursday.
If you enjoy working with your hands and/or fixing things, this might be the position for you! Volunteer with our maintenance team that may include equipment repairs, construction projects, mowing and more! Additionally we are always looking for individuals with specific skill sets in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. 2-4 hour shifts or as needed.
Are you passionate about sharing the gospel and nurturing relationships through horses? If so this position is for you! This position is involved in helping and teaching horse skills to equine campers. We are looking for individuals who are knowledgeable, skilled riders and who have significant equine experience. Morning and evening shifts available.
Come spend a few hours each Friday afternoon and help end the week with campers on a good note! There are many ways to help and prepare for the next group of campers arriving in only a few short days. We need volunteers willing to help with cleaning and sanitizing all areas of camp including the gymnasium, lodge, kitchen, and cabins.
